I’ve been collecting Disney Christmas ornaments from Walt Disney World since our first trip in 2011. My collection of Disney ornaments did start before that, many years ago when I starting buying a series of them from one of those subscription type places. This was back in the late 90s, and I really can’t remember the name of it now! I only bought a handful of them (they were quite expensive at the time, and I was about to become a mum, so there wasn’t much money spare) and only one seems to have survived from that time.
Every year that we go to Walt Disney World I always make sure that I buy at least one Christmas ornament with the year on it, so that it serves as a memory of that trip. This year for 2016’s month long holiday (to celebrate my 40th birthday) was no different, and you can see that 2016 ornament in the video below. I bought several ornaments this year, and thought I would film a show and tell, haul type video to share them with you.
As I explain in the video, which you can watch below, or over on my YouTube channel, I said I would share all of my other Disney Christmas ornaments on a blog post – it was easier to do this, than to find all the photos on my other blog – The Purple Pumpkin Blog.
If you collect Disney ornaments, then please do let me know in the comments! I’d love to see your collection too.

My Disney Christmas Ornaments
I’ll start off with the ornaments with the year on them. They are similar in style – the Mickey head silhouette, with the year stamped on the front, and Mickey Mouse sitting on the top.
The next four are a set – Mickey, Minnie, Donald and Goofy. I bought this in 2011, and despite the most careful of packaging, Minnie’s ear broke off 🙁 It’s been glued back on but looks unsightly in the photo! I’m not sure if they make this set any more, but it was expensive in the first place, and I don’t think I’d splash out on the whole thing, just to get Minnie again.
Another set we bought on our first trip with a Mickey head, plus his shorts, glove, and shoes. I think this is a cute little set.
Next up are my Jack Skellington Christmas ornaments. Definitely seeing an increase of The Nightmare Before Christmas merch in the stores at Walt Disney World these days. Not that I’m complaining! I love that film ♥
Next up are the ones I described as ceramic in the video – I’m not sure what they’re made of, or a way to describe them as a whole! Disney character ornaments is probably best? There are so many of this style, and I have several favourites that I want to buy, but I do have to curb my enthusiasm. As you can imagine, Disney merch is expensive, and so things really add up quickly as I’m placing them in my basket!
So far I’ve got WALL-E & EVE; Chip ‘n’ Dale; Mike Wazowski; Mr & Mrs Potato Head; Olaf; Stitch; and the Toy Story Alien. I’ve also included Tigger here, which is the ornament I mentioned about at the top of this post – it’s about 18 years old now! Plus there is the Minnie Mouse Purple Fairy ornament, and the Hitchhiking Ghosts from The Haunted Mansion, which I bought from Memento Mori, the store just next to the ride.
Since this post has a lot more photographs than I had anticipate, I’ve divided it into two. Use the page numbers just below to navigate from page to page. Or click here to go to page two.
