The sun started to break through again as we left Diagon Alley and went over the bridge into Springfield: Home of The Simpsons. This is such a cool area – I love it! But then I’ve loved The Simpsons since they first appeared on our screens in 1989. We didn’t go on the ride – likely a long wait. We’ve been on it before and it’s awesome.
We didn’t do much else in Islands of Adventure, and made our way to the exit. We wanted to go to Toothsome Chocolate Emporium to try out one of their huge milkshakes, so that is exactly where we headed.
To give it its full title, the Toothsome Chocolate Emporium & Savory Feast Kitchen is a steampunk themed restaurant, bar, and confectioners. We hadn’t realised you could eat there (we thought it was just milkshakes and desserts) so thought we’d try the food. But it was an hour wait, and we didn’t want to wait, so we stuck to our original plan of getting a milkshake!
The restaurant is set at the back – I assume the bar is back there too. We didn’t go in there, as I said above so I won’t say anymore as I don’t know anything about it!
The confectionery is at the front and you can buy chocolates, candy and all sorts of sweet treats here. Everything was set out beautifully and it looked amazing. We headed over to the counter to order our milkshakes and then found a table outside to sit at. We had about a 20 minute wait from when we ordered – but it was worth it!
Look at these bad boys! And yes, we did get one each!! (We should have shared!) As well as milkshakes you can also get ice cream sundaes and desserts like bread pudding and chocolate crème brûlée.

Me: Red Velvet – Vanilla ice cream, Red Velvet cupcake, raspberry sauce, rainbow sprinkles, fresh whipped cream, cherry ($12.50)
Him: Heavenly Hazelnut – Nutella ice cream, hazelnuts, Nutella, cocoa powder, fresh whipped cream ($12.50)
Not gonna lie, these shakes did get sickly towards the end, but oh, my days, they were gooood! I literally chose my flavour because it had a whole cupcake on top. I mean come on – a shake topped with whipped cream, sprinkles, a cupcake, more cream, and a cherry on top? What’s not to love about that?!
Flavour wise, Steve’s shake was nicer than mine, because: Nutella *drools*
After we had our shakes and let them digest for a bit (!) we made a move back home as we wanted to go to Animal Kingdom for the evening.
