The lobby area was a lot more busy than I was expecting, however, we then saw a bride and groom, so I wonder if some of the crowd were wedding guests. I would guess that with both a huge (and gorgeous) Christmas tree, as well as the Gingerbread House, this would make it quite a busy place during the Holidays.
I will say right from the start of this batch of photos that they’re really off colour as I really struggled with getting my settings right. Also having to try and get half decent shots without too many people was tricky too. It was a perfect storm for bad photos!
The main Christmas Tree was ginormous! I think even bigger than the one at Wilderness Lodge. I think it almost touched the ceiling!
The tree was very traditional looking, with gold, silver, pink, and turquoise baubles, as well as bird cages, and various bird ornaments. Flowers, ribbons and thousands of white lights finished off the look. It’s not my personal style, but I can’t deny how beautiful it was!
As well as the huge main tree, Grand Floridian also had several smaller trees dotted about the lobby, and on the other levels too. There were swathes of garlands along the balcony railings, and going up the banister, as well as some really pretty wreathes. All in all I think this Resort nailed the traditional Christmas look!
