We decided to stop for a drink from Pongu Pongu, and try a dessert from Satu’li Canteen – the land’s Quick Service/Counter Service. I try not to look at too much before visiting a new thing at Walt Disney World as I love the surprise, however it was hard to avoid Instagram, and we all know how people love to share Disney on the ‘Gram!

You can see why this beverage is Instagrammable! It’s very pretty with the pink and green layers, and the yellow balls on top. It was definitely nicer looking that it tasted – at least for me – such a shame as I was looking forward to drinking this one!
Satu-li Canteen was very busy, so we made use of Mobile Ordering for the very first time. So handy! Steve popped in to pick up our desserts (which we shared) and we ate them sat on a wall just opposite the Canteen. We plan on re-visiting to eat lunch or dinner here.
It does feel very much next level counter/quick service with real plates (not paper ones) and well presented food.
As you can see from the pictures below, both desserts were very pretty look at, and they tasted good too. The red one is a seasonal offering available at Christmas. I have read it is also available at Flame Tree Barbecue and Pizzafari.

Of course, we also had to pop into Pandora’s gift shop – Windtraders – where I bought a pin (obvs) and Steve bought a bag of blue popcorn. It was blueberry flavour. I thought it was rank. He enjoyed it, so ate the lot! No photos unfortunately.
The inside of the shop was very cool. One corner is devoted to Banshee adoption called The Rookery. You fly on the back of one of these bad boys in Avatar Flight of Passage and can now adopt your very own (albeit a lot smaller) Banshee for a cool $49.99 + Tax. No discounts (DVC, AP, or otherwise) are available. It was very crowded in this part of the store so I wasn’t able to take any photos.
However, I read online that a Naturalist from Alpha Centauri Expeditions will assist a guest with identifying a favorite banshee from among 10 unique styles. Each interactive banshee includes three ranges of motion – mouth, head, and wings – that are controlled by hand. Guests will also hear them make authentic banshee sounds.
I did see people walking round with them on their shoulder which I thought was sweet.
I did really want to build my own Na’vi necklace – it’s so my thing to by this sort of thing. But we’d already paid for our stuff and the lines were so long I just couldn’t be bothered to line up again. Plus navigating this shop on an ECV was hard so we rolled on out. The beads are so pretty though… another maybe next time thing.
